Willamette Speedway To Have $1500 To Win Late Models And At Least $500 To Win Street Stocks; Test N Tune Practice On Friday
Lebanon, Oregon- Some big cash will be on the line at the Willamette Speedway come Saturday, August 29th. The Super Late Models will be racing for $1500.00 to win courtesy of Skyline Ford while the Street Stocks will battle it out for at least $500.00 to the winner brought to you by AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care of Corvallis and Lebanon. The Street Stock purse continues to grow and further increases can be found on the track Facebook page. Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Hornets will all be on the card.
Joey Tanner opened up the 2020 season in Late Model action with last weekend’s victory. In the IMCA Modified ranks Bricen James and Travis Peery have been the two feature winners. Doug Coffman won the lone IMCA Sport Mod race of this year while Chad Slover and Ryan Emry have split the wins in the Sportsman category. For Street Stock action the division has been won by the last two track champions, Dakota Goddard and Justin Evans. In Hornet action, the only repeat this winner in any class can be found there with Matt Diller.
Pit Gates will open at Noon, the Pill Draw ends at 3:15, Pit Meeting takes place at 3:30, and Racing will kick off at 5:00. Unfortunately, due to health restrictions the grandstands are not open to spectators but you can watch all the action live on DirtOvaTV. Pit Passes will be sold for $40.00.
An open practice is schedule for Friday, August 28th. It is slated to get going at 2:00 PM and will last until dark. Entry is $30.00 per car while Pit Passes are $10.00. For more information be sure and check out the track website and Facebook page.
