Clay Cup Next For Willamette Speedway On June 8th

Lebanon, Oregon- Despite having just one night of racing this weekend, Willamette Speedway is expected to have an incredible night of action. The 2019 Clay Cup is next for the historic 1/3-mile on Saturday, June 8th. Classes on the card will include the Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Hornets.

Tickets are $14.00 for Adults, Seniors (62+)/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Kids (5 or Under) FREE. A Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Pit Passes are $30.00 each. Pit Gates open at 1:00, Front Gates 4:00, and Opening Ceremonies at 5:00. Joey Tanner is still a top of the win chart in the Super Late Models this year. Tanner has five victories while Steve Moore and Justin Duty each have one. Former Coors Clay Cup winners include Jeremy Shank (2012), Casey Vitale (2014), and Brian Cronk (2015 & 2016) while last year was rained out.

Bricen James leads the IMCA Modified ranks in wins, at three, while one-time winners include Dustin Cady, Grey Ferrando, and Collen Winebarger. In the Sportsman division Tom Yeack leads the charges of trips to victory lane, with three, while Kent Emery, Brian Brown, and Jeff Rash all have one.

Justin Evans is the man to beat in the Street Stocks. Evans is coming off of his third main event victory and is the only multi-feature winner. Drivers to have won once include Kevin Roberts, Kelly McDonald, and David Cronk. Finally, Eddie Farness has been to the winner’s circle the most in the Hornets with an incredible three wins. Graig Osborne and Ed Farness have achieved one win apiece.
