The whole party gets kicked off on Friday, May 24th, and Saturday, the 25th with Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Hornets on the card. Capping off the extravaganza is the Valley Wide UTV Shootout Series on Sunday, the 26th.

The Clair Cup is one of the biggest Super Late Model races in the Western United States and won the “First Class Promotion Award” at the annual Western Auto Racing Promoters Association workshop in November of 2012. The race also boasts an impressive win list, since its inception in 2009, with Russ Sell winning the final night twice while Justin Cady, Brian Cronk, Joey Tanner, Mike Johnson, Jeremy Shank, Darren Coffell, and defending winner Casey Vitale all getting the job done once. Rob Mayea has two preliminary feature wins with Brian Cronk, Steve Moore, and Trent Elliot one time each.
Joey Tanner has been absolutely perfect this season in the Super Late Models with three wins in as many attempts. Grey Ferrando and Bricen James have each managed to find success in the IMCA Modified ranks once in 2019. In the Super Sport division there has yet to be a repeat winner as Randy Barley, B.J. Donofrio, and James Slover have all graced victory lane.
Tom Yeack is still ahead in the winner’s list in the Sportsman class for this year with his two wins. Jeff Rash is the only driver to have bested the field with one victory to his credit. In the Street Stocks there has yet to be a repeat winner with Justin Evans, Kevin Roberts, and David Cronk collecting wins. In the Hornets Eddie Farness and Graig Osborne have hit pay dirt in the first two races of the new campaign.
Please keep in mind that we are still in the wet season in the Pacific Northwest. Be sure to continually to check the website/Facebook page for weather updates. For more information on upcoming news and information be sure to check out www.willamettespeedway.org or the track’s Facebook page.
