Tanner, James, Barley, C. Slover, Evans, And E. Farness Win Rick Barnes Memorial

Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway would host the Rick Barnes Memorial on Saturday, July 28th. The race is held in honor of longtime track worker Rick Barnes who sadly passed away in March of 2017. Classes in competition included Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Hornets.

Portland’s Joey Tanner would continue his hot streak of Late Model success with his fourth victory of the season. Bricen James, from Albany, swept the weekend in the IMCA Modifieds to record the fourth occasion he has collected a win. Randy Barley, also out of Albany, was the victor in the Super Sports for the third time in the current campaign making it a three-way tie for most wins in the division.

Chad Slover parked it in victory lane for the first time in the Sportsman ranks while Justin Evans now has three wins in the Street Stocks, which ties him for most wins. Eddie Farness, from Sandy, hit pay dirt in the Hornets for his third triumph of the year at Willamette.

Willamette Speedway is back in action on Saturday, August 4th, for Driver Appreciation Night. It will be an extremely full card of racing with Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, IMCA Stock Cars, and Hornets all in action.

Tickets are $14.00 for Adults, Junior/Military/Senior $10.00, Youth (6-12) $5.00, 5 and Under FREE, and a Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) $35.00.
