Dakota Godard And Tracy Muse Get Wednesday Night Willamette Wins

Lebanon, Oregon- With the Western Sprint Tour in the house at Willamette Speedway on Wednesday, July 11th, the Street Stocks and Hornets would play the role of the support classes. Nine Street Stocks and six Hornets would make the journey for the rare mid-week affair.
Albany’s Dakota Godard looked to continue his hot streak of racing at the historic 1/3-mile clay oval. He seized the initiative at the drop of the green taking the lead right off the bat. He would be challenged late by fellow Albany racer Bricen James and the two would duke it out for several laps.
James would take the position away, briefly on lap seventeen, only for Godard to get it back the next time around. Dakota eventually would resecure the top spot and held on for the victory. It would be the third time he has done so this year and marks his fourth consecutive win between the Street Stock and IMCA Stock Car competition.
Bricen James was second over Vancouver, Washington’s Joey Cannon in third. Fourth went to Albany youngster Brody Sim and Kyndal Irvine, from Lebanon, completed the top five, in fifth.
Tracy Muse would take care of business in the Hornet division. Muse, who currently resides in Plains, Montana, led every single lap of the main event and would make it two wins in a row at Willamette. Matt Diller finished second with Jefferson’s Devon Traslavina, in third. Tiana Friend, from Lebanon, completed the rest of the finishing order in fourth.
Willamette Speedway resumes racing action on Saturday, July 14th for Shriners Night. Classes in action include the Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and IMCA Stock Cars.
Pit Gates open at 1:00 PM, Front Gates 3:30, and Racing at 6:00. Tickets are $14.00 for Adults, Junior/Military/Senior $10.00, Youth (6-12) $5.00, 5 and Under FREE, and a Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) $35.00..
