Lebanon, Oregon- Two classes would play the role as the support divisions on Saturday, June 30th. The Super Sports and the IMCA Stock Cars would both put on some entertaining racing during the course of the night.

Randy Barley took control of the front of the field early in the Super Sport feature. The Albany driver would remain there until getting passed shortly after a restart by McLain Beaudoin. The Lebanon youngster, of Beaudoin, started to check out from the rest of the competition but all of sudden Doug Elkins launched a mid-race attack.

Doug Elkins, of Salem, tracked down and passed Beaudoin on the fourteenth trip around the speedway and set sail afterwards. He would go unchallenged and collected his second win of the season. Chris Mott, also out of Salem, was second while Randy Barley was third. Scotts Mills driver Vahn Stone placed fourth with Jody Tanner, from Portland, getting fifth.

An action-packed IMCA Stock Car race would unfold before the packed house. The twenty-lap affair would see Dakota Godard with the early advantage on lap one. Kevin Roberts edged his way to the front on the third circuit. The whole entire time the two drivers were side-by-side with no clear advantage to either party. Godard officially reclaimed first place on lap twelve and held back Roberts in the final trips around the 1/3-mile clay oval.

It is the first IMCA Stock Car main event win for Albany’s Dakota Godard. Kevin Roberts, of Gresham, was second over Spokane, Washington chauffeur Ron Brewster, in third. Donald Schott, of Happy Valley, rounded up the rest of the finishing order in fourth.
