Lebanon, Oregon- If you absolutely love Modifieds then make sure you don’t miss this weekend at Willamette Speedway. The historic Lebanon 1/3-mile clay oval will host the three final nights of the 2017 Wild West Modified Shootout beginning Thursday, June 29th, and concluding on Saturday, July 1st. Not only will IMCA Modifieds be racing all three nights but so will the IMCA Sport Mods.
There will be a special $75.00 Three Day Pit Pass being offered for those wanting to visit in the pits but please note there are NO REFUNDS. Single night pit passes will remain $30.00 each. Overnight parking will be allowed but it is $10.00 a night and must be paid at the gate the day of the event.
In local competition Bricen James, Dustin Cady, and Collen Winebarger have accumulated wins. Alex Stanford has the most Wild West Modified Shootout wins at Willamette, with four, while Brian Poppa, Ken Schrader, and Collen Winebarger all have won once. Last year the heats were completed but rain showers would cancel the rest of the evening.
IMCA Sport Mods have only truly raced twice at Lebanon. Earlier this year they would be the support class for the two-day Monster Truck show. Jayson Nelson and Chris Frisbie were the ones to gain victories. Sport Mods have raced twice as the support class for the IMCA Modifieds. Jorddon Braaten won in Yreka last Friday while Southern Oregon Speedway would see Brian Cooper park it in victory lane.
