Willamette Speedway Set For Saturday June 3rd Strawberry Cup Presented By NAPA Auto Parts

Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway is back in action on Saturday, June 3rd for one of the most prestigious races in the Pacific Northwest, the Strawberry Cup presented by NAPA Auto Parts. This race may not be the biggest paying event but it has became Willamette’s iconic event and has a decades long legacy (a incomplete list of former winners is below this story). Classes in action include the Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, and Street Stocks.
Collen Winebarger and Bricen James are the only two Super Late Model feature winners in 2017. Winebarger is the defending Strawberry Cup victor which was the first time he was able to do so. He is also the only driver to have won in the IMCA Modified ranks. Matthew Drager would park it in victory lane in 2016.
Chris Mott and Jordan Wright are the two main event winners in the Super Sports while last year Brian Thompson bested the field in the Strawberry. Sandy Sanders and Jeff Titus have got the job done one time a piece in the Sportsman division and Yeack was the guy that won the Cup last year enroute to his 2016 championship.
David Cronk has the most wins in the Street Stocks with two trips to the winner’s circle over Kevin Roberts’ lone triumph. Chris Sine is the defending Strawberry Cup winner.
Pit Gates open at 1:00 PM, Pit Meeting is at 5:00, Front Gates 3:30, and Racing is slated to get started around 6:00. Tickets are $14.00 for Adults, Senior/Juniors (13-17)/Military $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, while Children (5 and Under) are FREE.
