Rain Washes Out Willamette Speedway

Willamette Speedway was once again washed out Saturday night. Teams and fans were disappointed after what looked like prime racing weather turned into a down pour that ended the nights racing program.
Track officials were scrambling to determine what was best to get the show in and after some discussion, determined heats were to be lined up according to pill draw used for qualifying order. Mains would start with the same procedure with the exception of the invert.
Heat races were completed in the program and the top two finishers from each heat advanced to the trophy dashes.
Heat race winners in each division were:
Hornets: Rowe Lovvorn
Sportsman: Clyde Rood
Super Sports:
Heat #1: Ron Wilson
Heat #2: Sean Cronk
IMCA Modifieds:
Heat #1: Craig Cassel
Heat #2: Matthew Drager
Super Late Models:
Heat #1: Brian Cronk
Heat #2: Joey Tanner
Trophy dash were run to heats and dash winners were:

Rains hit just after the first feature of the night finished. Rowe Lovvorn collected her second straight feature of the season.
This Saturday Willamette Speedway will feature the Rolling Thunder Big Rig series supported by the Street Stock division. Special pricing applies to this event. Adults $16, JR/SR/Military $12, Youth $7, five and under Free. Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 youth) $40. Front Gate opens at 3:30pm and racing starting at 6:30pm.
