Willamette Speedway would get back to racing on Saturday September 19th for St. Jude Night presented by Columbia Distributing. A good field of cars would fill the pit area with great racing too. Classes in competition on the historic 1/3-mile clay oval were the Super Dirt Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, and Street Stocks.

Portland's Joey Tanner made his return to Willamette Speedway in open Late Model competition in his own equipment. The Eastside Paving/All In Property Investments/Jody Tanner Retirement Fund/Monty's Racing Engines #1 X-Factor would finish on top for his first win at Willamette in 2015. It accompanies his three wins with the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series earlier in the campaign with two at Banks and Cottage Grove once.

Collen Winebarger once again would have a successful outing with the IMCA Modifieds. Winebarger, in his Discount Race Car Parts/FinishLine Graphics/Sweere Trucking #S Shaw by Taylor , would collect his ninth Willamette win. The championship now is practically his making it two in a row for the Corbett chauffeur.

In the Sportsman ranks a new victor would emerge. Ron Berry of Turner would get the job done in the Anderson Racing #97JR Rayburn for car owner Nick Anderson. Berry has ran a limited schedule in 2015 with just a couple of starts prior to his victory.

Finally in the Street Stocks Talyn Roberts was triumphant yet again. The Gresham teenager would score her second straight victory in the class. The Big Sky Landscaping/Powers Transport/Gray's Automotive #T3 Camaro has been very tough to beat in the last few weeks.

Willamette Speedway has just one weekend remaining on the 2015 schedule. Championship weekend will kickoff with the Karts on Friday September 25th and ending with Championship Night on Saturday the 26th on the 1/3-mile. All five regular classes will be on hand Saturday including the Super Dirt Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, and Street Stocks.

General Admission to the Friday Kart race will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $30.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 4:00 PM and Racing is scheduled to begin around 6:30.

On Saturday the Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $14.00, Seniors/Juniors/Military (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
