Optional Rule Changes For Willamette Super Sports; Payout Increased To $500 To Win Courtesy of Knothole Market

Lebanon, Oregon- Just in time for the Napa Auto Parts Strawberry Cup at Willamette Speedway on Saturday June 6th the Super Sport division will undergo a few rule changes to their 2015 which are currently optional. The big changes are that roofs can be removed, sideboards places on the car, and wedge noses allowed. All other rules are in effect such as motor, tire, body height, etc.
“We're trying to bring back some history to Willamette,” commented Track Manager Chris Nofziger, “the rest of the season will be a trial period for these rules to see how drivers like them.”
Some of the dimensions for the sideboards are the following:
-Sideboard heights to be no more than 16-inches in height or more that 54-inches from ground to the top of sideboard
-Sideboard can not go past the driver's seat
-The 10-inch rear spoiler rule is still in effect
