2014 Summer Sizzle Tour Information Released

It’s almost that time of the year. The 2nd Annual Summer Sizzle Tour is set to get underway beginning on Thursday August 14th at Albany Motorsports Park. Below this release will be additional information including times, format, point structure, and rules.
Also to note is that there has been a $1,000 point fund sponsored by James Gang Pizza to be divided between the 125cc, 250cc, and Open classes. There will be high point awards given to the 5HP classes as well.
The point Fund will be determined and split up according to car count and will be given away along with all other awards immediately following the races at Willamette Speedway. Races will be track points races at Cottage Grove and Willamette.

2014 Summer Sizzle Race Format:
Pills will be drawn for heat race starting order
Heat 1 will be heads up from pill draw
Heat 2 will be a total invert from pill draw
All cars that miss the pill draw cut off will start at the BACK OF BOTH HEATS!
Heat Races will be 8 laps
Main Events will be lined up based on points from both heat races using the following points structure
1st – 16
2nd – 14
3rd – 12
4th – 10
5th – 9
6th – 8
7th – 7
8th – 6
9th – 5
10th – 4
A coin will be flipped if heads line them up heads up with high point on the pole. If tails invert the top 6 with high points starting 6th and 6th in points on the pole
Main Event lap counts will vary depending on car count, and track official discretion
