Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway will be the site of the fourth round of the annual Speedweek Northwest on Wednesday July 2nd as the ASCS-Northwest Region will tackle the 1/3-mile clay oval. A great car count is expected on tap with three countries scheduled to be represented including the United States, Canada, and New Zealand. The ASCS-Northwest Region were in action at Willamette in late May and Jared Peterson managed to win the race despite bad luck striking the front runners in the main event.

Roger Crockett leads the list of Speedweek wins at Willamette with four while three drivers have captured two including Steve Kent, Brent Kaeding, and Wayne Johnson. Drivers winning once include Brad Furr, Jayme Barnes, Jason Sides, Jesse Hockett, Kyle Larson, and last year Travis Rilat.

In the last sixteen editions of Speedweek Northwest there have been nine different champions. Steve Kent and Roger Crockett are tied with four apiece while Brent Kaeding has two. Six drivers have won the entire kit and caboodle just once which is a very impressive list of winners. That list includes Brad Furr, Jesse Hockett, Bud Kaeding, Kyle Larson, Shane Stewart, and Mitch Olson.

Since 2008 Willamette Speedway has hosted the series a total of fourteen occasions. In those thirteen races nine drivers have graced the winner’s circle. Roger Crockett has had the pleasure of doing it the most with a total four times including last August. Wayne Johnson is the only other repeat winner with his two wins with the National Tour in 2012. Jesse Hockett, Kyle Larson, Logan Forler, Kyle Hirst, Travis Rilat, Jeff Swindell, Brad Loyet, and most recently Jared Peterson all have one win each.

Prices are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE. Racing is scheduled to get underway around 7:00 PM.

Headed into the Speedweek there have been six completed events with ASCS-Northwest in 2014 producing five different winners. Seth Bergman leads the win column with two while Andy Forsberg, Jared Peterson, J.J. Hickle, and Henry Van Dam have all managed to pick up victories. In the point battle side of things Vern Wheeler Jr. leads by just two points over Colin Baker entering the first round of Speedweek.

Speedweek Northwest begins on Sunday June 29th at Siskiyou Motor Speedway in Yreka, California. Be sure and don’t miss a lap of the action as the ASCS-Northwest Region as the area’s best 360 Sprint Car drivers will contest on seven different race tracks in three different states that include Oregon, Washington, and California.
