Willamette Completes Practice Event; Speedway Ready For Season Opener

Willamette Speedway hosted a practice last Saturday April 12th to give drivers an opportunity to shake down their cars as they get ready for the 2014 campaign. The wait for the first race of the season will be finally over as this weekend is expected not only to be the opening night for the 1/3-mile on Saturday April 19th but also the first event for the Karts on Friday the 18th.
General admission to the Friday Kart race event will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $30.00. The pit gates open up around 4:00 PM and racing is scheduled to begin around 6:30.
The first race of the season on the 1/3-mile clay oval on Saturday April 19th will feature the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, and Street Stocks. The Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
