Lebanon, Oregon- As just a handful of weeks remain until the next season, Willamette Speedway is excited to highlight some important dates for the next campaign. The upcoming 2014 season will feature thirty-two events spanning from the months of April until September. The historic 1/3-mile clay oval will host six championship classes on a regular basis which include the X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Crockers Cars Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and 4-Cylinders. The 4-Cylinder class the last two years have been strictly limited to just trucks but in 2014 it will be opened up to cars as well.

“We’ve got some great things coming to Willamette in 2014,” commented Track Manager Chris Nofziger, “we hope everyone can make it out and see some good racing on a weekly basis.”

In 2014 Willamette Speedway has lowered the ticket prices of the front gate for regular events. Adults are now $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) are now $10.00, Youths ages 12-6 are $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE. Also this year's family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.

Saturday April 12th will open up the campaign for the first race of the year while the first point race of the season will be the following week on the 19th. Saturday May 3rd will see the return of “Fight Hunger Night” and spectators will receive $2.00 off the purchase of their ticket if they bring a can of food with them.

The month of May will also see the return of the annual Clair Cup, this year presented by Les Schwab Tires, paying homage to the longtime owner and promoter of Willamette Speedway Clair Arnold. And as it has been for the last several years the event will be two nights of action on Memorial Day weekend all taking place on Saturday May 24th and Sunday the 25th. The month will also see the return of the American Sprint Car Series-National Tour featuring the best 360 Sprint Car drivers in the country.

June will be packed with several must see events including the return of the historic Strawberry Cup presented by Napa Auto Parts on the 7th, the extremely popular Fan Appreciation Night presented by Highoctane Die Cast on the 14th , and the always interesting Topless Showdown for the X-Factor Race Car Super Late Models on the 28th. Also don’t forget to mark Sunday the 15th on your calendars for the annual Father’s Day Tuff Truck Spectacular.

July will see the return of the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region for Speedweek Northwest on Wednesday July 2nd followed by a one-hundred lap X-Factor Race Cars Super Late Model feature, the Crockers Cars Firecracker 100, on Saturday the 5th capped off by a massive fireworks display. Saturday July 12th will see the first ever Historical Night at Willamette with a whole night dedicated to recognizing the past of the historic venue. The 2014 Wild West Modified Speedweek for the first time ever will conclude at the 1/3-mile clay oval as they will host the final two legs on Friday the 25th, which is slated to be Shriner’s Night, and Saturday the 26th.

August opens up with the Sportsman Spectacular on Saturday the 2nd while the following Friday, the 8th, will see the final appearance of the year for the ASCS-Northwest Region at Willamette. One of the biggest Kage Kart races on the entire Pacific Coast will occur on Saturday the 16th for the second annual Summer Sizzle Tour. The following week will be the return of the Modified Tribute To Clair which is sure to see a large car count of the region’s best IMCA Modified chauffeurs. The final weekend will play host to the Labor Day Classic presented by Buzz Mitchell and Gary Crossan Farms on Saturday the 30th and Sunday the 31st.

The Labor Day Classic will conclude with the return of the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series for their third visit and will most likely be the final time you will see “The King” Steve Kinser race at Willamette as he is conducting his farewell tour in 2014. The final point race of the year will be on Saturday the 20th which will decide who will be the champions and that evening will be sponsored by Les Schwab Tires.

As you can tell there are some great events to see at Willamette Speedway in the coming year. We hope you can make it out to see some of the hottest action at the “Stock Car Capital of the Northwest”. To see the entire 2014 schedule log on to www.trophymotorsports.com .
