Northwest Extreme Late Model Series Ready For New Year

Drivers and teams of the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series will most certainly have a banner year as they will compete in 2014 with a new look and will revisit venues they have not seen for a few seasons. In the coming campaign the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series will have each of its regular competitors have a Super Hero or Special Character theme with their car. This should enhance fans’ experience when they see the best Late Model chauffeurs in the area as well as appealing to the younger fans going to these races with their parents.
The 2014 racing season all begins on April 19th at the always exciting Cottage Grove Speedway. They will visit “The Grove” on three occasions. The venue they venture the most often is “The Banks Bullring” known as Sunset Speedway Park. Seven times the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series will be at SSP including the Spring Challenge (on May 24th and 25th), Fan Appreciation Night (June 21st), Independence Day’s annual Firecracker 100 (July 4ht), the annual Doug Walters Classic (August 2nd), and Drivers Appreciation Night (on August 23rd).
Willamette Speedway will play host to the NELMS organization three times including the 1/3-mile clay oval’s Fan Appreciation Night on June 14th. Venues that will be revisited in 2014 that have not been on the schedule for the last year or two include the Madras Speedway in Central Oregon (May 31st), the Coos Bay Speedway on the gorgeous Oregon Coast (June 28th), and the Southern Oregon Speedway (July 12th). Finally the year will all conclude at the Central Washington State Fair Raceway in late September in Yakima, Washington.
The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series is the only touring Dirt Late Model Series in the Pacific Northwest. Since 2010 this series has toured tracks in Oregon and Washington providing their fans with heart pounding action each and every night. Drivers range from veterans with decades of experience to mere teenagers cutting their teeth.
