Lebanon, Oregon- Two young NASCAR Nationwide drivers will be on hand for the Tuesday September 3rd World of Outlaw Sprint Series race at Willamette Speedway. Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson will be back to their roots as they compete at the historic 1/3-mile dirt track. Both have visited the facility before in their young careers.
Victory lane is no stranger to Kyle Larson at Willamette Speedway. In fact in his first visit to the track back in 2011 he would win the Speedweek Northwest feature for his one and only American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region feature later on winning the Speedweek title after the victory. Larson will pilot the Paul Silva owned #57 and is currently seventh in the NASCAR Nationwide points. Larson also was recently announced to be the new driver of the Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing #42 Sprint Cup entry in 2014 replacing Juan Pablo Montoya.
Brad Sweet, originally from Grass Valley, California, will be driving the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet #49 entry for NASCAR Sprint Cup car owner Kasey Kahne. Sweet in 2013 won the prestigious Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway earlier this year and is currently running a mixed schedule of dirt and pavement races.
Don’t forget also that NASCAR Sprint Cup superstar Tony Stewart will have his two Sprint Car teams on hand. Donny Schatz, who is simply on a terror with the Outlaws in 2013 with nineteen victories this year, and twenty-time Outlaw champion Steve Kinser. Kasey Kahne will have his two other teams in the house which consist of current World of Outlaw point leader Daryn Pittman and Cody Darrah.
