Willamette Speedway Back To Regular Programming This Week

Lebanon, Oregon- After a weekend of exciting action from both the American Sprint Car Series-National Tour and Northwest Wingless Tour the Willamette Speedway will feature its regular inhabitants this Saturday August 3rd. Classes in action will include the DIRTcar Super Late Models, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks.
With nine victories in twelve starts 2013 has been owned by Trevor Glaser in the DIRTcar Super Late Model ranks as he searches for his seventh championship in the classification. Only two other drivers have managed to pick up victories and those are Russ Sell, with two, and just a single triumph from Joey Tanner. In the Sportsman division Todd Miller has three total victories over Brian Smith’s two. Drivers that have visited victory lane just once this year includes Phil Housworth, Brian Brown, Brian Goetz, Clyde Rood, Jeff Marson, and Ron Berry.
David Cronk and Bricen James have raked up the lion’s share of victories in the Street Stocks. The seven-time champ Cronk leads the class with five wins over James’ four. Justin Evans and Kevin Roberts each have won once. The “Prineville Posse” remains supreme in the Mini Trucks. Don Croy has been victorious six times while his teammate Kenny Keefer has two wins.
Saturday the pit gates will open at 1:00 PM, front gates 3:30 PM, and racing should be getting started around 6:00 PM. Admission prices are Adults $14.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $12.00, Youths (12 and Under) $6.00, Family Pass (Two Adults and Up To Four Youths) $35.00, and Pit Passes are $25.00.
The Willamette Speedway has operated since the 1960’s and is a facility where high car counts and great racing are the norm. The venue will hosts weekly action comprising of DIRTcar Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Sports, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks.
