NWWT Finish Up Non-Wing Speedweek At Willamette This Friday And Saturday

Lebanon, Oregon- The month of July has been a very busy one for teams of the Northwest Wingless Tour. The series will close out the month of July out on Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th at the Willamette Speedway. It will mark the final two nights of action for the first ever Non-Wing Speedweek. The historic 1/3-mile clay oval will be the fourth different venue that the organization has visited in the 2013 campaign.
So far with four races complete Kyle Miller has won every single Non-Wing Speedweek main event. Miller enters the weekend with a healthy thirty-eight point lead over second place Rob Lindsey and looks to finish the job in the last two legs.
The Northwest Wingless Tour has visited Willamette Speedway a total of five times since 2009 and in those five events there have been five different winners. Shane Forté, Mark Nichols, Steve Vague, Kyle Miller, and Reece Goetz have all won once.
So far in 2013 Kyle Miller leads the NWWT on the win list after ten complete events with six triumphs. Drivers that have earned just a single victory include Kyle Mehner, Sterling Kane, Mitch Hoffses, and Bill Winsley.
On the point side of things Rob Lindsey left Cottage Grove with a narrow eleven point lead over Bill Winsley and fourteen markers over Sterling Kane. Not only is Lindsey the point leader but is the only driver in the top five without a victory and is the lead candidate of the NWSprintCarHistory.com Rookie of the Year Award.
The Willamette Speedway has operated since the 1960’s and is a facility where high car counts and great racing are the norm. The venue will hosts weekly action comprising of DIRTcar Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Sports, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks. In 2013 the Northwest Wingless Tour will partake in eighteen races at four different race tracks in the states of Oregon and Washington. In four seasons there have been four different champions in this organization that has started to become pretty popular among fans and drivers in the Northwest.
