Lebanon, Oregon- In 2013 Willamette Speedway will be the fifth race of seven for this year’s Bully Dog Performance Speedweek Northwest presented by Contingency Connection featuring the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region. The event will take place on Wednesday July 3rd at the 1/3-mile clay oval. The ASCS-Northwest Region already has been to Willamette once this year and they put on one heck of a show with Kyle Hirst winning over defending series champ Roger Crockett.

“Willamette Speedway has become a very popular track for these teams,” commented Brian Crockett, Series Director of ASCS-Northwest, “there is always exciting action at this place and it’s a cross between a 3/8-mile like Elma and a ¼-mile like Cottage Grove.”

Willamette Speedway has hosted fifteen Speedweek races since 1998 and has produced nine different winners. Last year Speedweek Northwest began at the venue for a two day opener with the ASCS-National Tour in the house. This year the track will return to its historical mid-week race which has, with the exception of 2012, taken place on a Tuesday or a Wednesday evening.

Roger Crockett leads the list of Speedweek wins at Willamette with four while three drivers have captured two. Steve Kent, Brent Kaeding, and the sweeper of last year’s two shows Wayne Johnson have earned two victories apiece. Drivers winning once include Brad Furr, Jayme Barnes, Jason Sides, Jesse Hockett, and Kyle Larson.

As far as ASCS-Northwest Region races are concerned Willamette has had ten of them. Five different winners have emerged from those ten shows with Roger Crockett leading list with three. Wayne Johnson has two victories while Jesse Hockett, Logan Forler, and Kyle Hirst have won on one occasion each.

The pit gates will open at 1:00 PM, front gates 3:30 PM, and racing should be getting started around 6:30 PM. Admission prices are Adults $17.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (6-12) $7.00, 5 and Under FREE, Family Pass (Two Adults and Up To Four Youths) $40.00.

In the last fifteen editions of Bully Dog Performance Speedweek Northwest there have been nine different champions. Steve Kent has the most, with four titles, while Roger Crockett has three and Brent Kaeding with two. Six drivers have won the entire kit and caboodle just once which is a very impressive list of winners. That list includes Brad Furr, Jesse Hockett, Bud Kaeding, Kyle Larson, Shane Stewart, and the 2012 victor Mitch Olson.
