Lebanon, Oregon- Race fans will have a full weekend of action to take in at Willamette Speedway on Friday May 10th and Saturday the 11th. The Karts will have their second race of the year this Friday in what should be another great night for the program. Saturday will mark the fourth race of the 2013 campaign on the 1/3-mile clay oval with the DIRTcar Super Late Model, IMCA Modified, Super Sports, Sportsman, and Street Stock divisions will all be on hand.
“The last couple of weeks we’ve had some great racing and great weather,” said Chris Nofziger, General Manager of Willamette Speedway, “it’s going to be very fun weekend with Karts kicking everything off Friday and the big cars on Saturday. We hope everyone can make it out and enjoy some great entertainment.”
In three DIRTcar Super Late Model features there have been three different feature winners. Joey Tanner, Trevor Glaser, and Russ Sell have all managed to visit victory lane in the current campaign. The same can be said for the IMCA Modified division with Mark Carrell, Kyle Yeack, and Jeffrey Rivers all earning main event triumphs this year.
Gil Pickett and Bob Jeffrey have one win each in the two Super Sport races that have been ran so far. Todd Miller leads the win column in the Sportsman classification, with two feature wins, while Clyde Rood is the only other main event winner. Bricen James became the most recent Street Stock victor winning last Saturday night but David Cronk has earned the most wins in the division being victorious in the first two shows.
General admission to the Friday Kart race event will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $30.00. The pit gates open up around 4:00 PM and racing is scheduled to begin around 6:45.
