Practice Weekend At Willamette Rained Out
By Ben Deatherage
Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway regrets to inform the fans that practice dates for Saturday April 13th and Sunday the 14th have been lost to rain. The grounds were too wet due to the inclement weather and prevented any action from taking place at the historic 1/3-mile clay oval. It marks the second straight week that weather has dampened plans for the 2013 season.
Saturday April 20th hopes to be the first race of the year. Classifications that will be on hand include the DIRTcar Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks. There is a possibility that there will be a practice on either Thursday the 18th or Friday the 19th from 4:00 PM to Dusk. Be sure and check up on the track website for information regarding this during the course of the week.
The Willamette Speedway has operated since the 1960’s and is a facility where high car counts and great racing are the norm. The venue will hosts weekly action comprising of DIRTcar Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Sports, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks.
