Lebanon, Oregon- This upcoming Saturday on April 13th at Willamette Speedway will be a Test and Tune play date instead of the much anticipated “Cabin Fever” Season Opener. The historic 1/3-mile clay oval hopes to open the year up on the following Saturday on the 20th. In addition to the practice on Saturday there will be a practice for the Karts on Sunday the 14th.
“Since we don’t offer a weekly practice anymore we wanted to provide a day where they could just shake down their cars,” commented Chris Nofziger, General Manager of Willamette Speedway, “I feel we owe it to these drivers to ensure that their equipment works properly.”
On Saturday general admission is free to all spectators wishing to sit in the grandstands and watch practice. Any drivers wishing to participate in the event will pay a $25.00 entry fee while pit passes are $15.00. Everything is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM and last until Dusk. For Sunday’s Kart practice the times are scheduled to be from Noon until 4:00 PM. Car and driver entries are $20.00 and Pit Passes will cost $10.00.
