2010 Modified rules
(changes from 2009 highlighted in yellow)
Motor -Chassis and Body:
Northwest Dirt Track Modified Rules Apply.
Weight: 2350lbs after race (car and driver)
Tire Rule: Hoosier G-60 IMCA Tire on 8 inch wheels.
Other:
Aluminum heads okay with 50 added pounds front of motor plate.
5 inch spoiler optional
One steele body non-adjustable shock per wheel. One spring per wheel.
The following applies to all classes:
The following actions will result in suspension: use of nitrous oxide, alcohol or drug use, dumping gas, oil or chemicals, going to another pit spot in anger, use of traction device of any kind. NEVER approach the flag stand, you will be listened to after the races. During the race: work on car during yellow must be done in the pits. Minor work and refueling ok on red, with two (2) pit crew per car. All tire changes must be done in pits. Any car overrunning time by .9 seconds will be disqualified.
ALL CARS: Must have muffling device resulting in 95 dba at 100 ft. The loudest car over the limit will be sent to the pits for the night. Must have pick up hook, hoop or chain. Must be self starting with full size battery and must be strapped down. Must have clutches except in automatics. All added weight must be bolted to frame with a minimum of two ½ inch bolts. All added weight and drivelines must be painted white, silver, or florescent. No sharp edges. Acceptable appearance of car will be by track approval. Numbers must be 18 inches on top and sides. Number on roof must be readable on the front stretch from the grandstands. Must have 5 inch numbers on front and rear of car. No chrome or mylar numbers. (interferes with timing light)
Full face helmet and gloves required. No short sleeves. Fire suit and neck brace highly recommended. No mirrors, wings, radios or anti-freeze.
